Sports fans always show very bad behavior when they go to games, but one Yankees fan really paid the price for his shenanigans … by becoming fully owned by a security guard after running over. field.
Chaos fell early in the 6th inning against the Phillies on Tuesday night, when the fan took to the Yankee Stadium field and started running through the outfield.
He reached the middle of the pitch before a stadium security guard knocked him down with an impressive tackle …
The security guard’s apparent wrestling skills were enough to contain the fan – who the NYPD identified as 25 years old Leonardo Lertora-Leiva – until about half a dozen other security guards showed up to help escort the guy off the field… much to the crowd’s delight.
NYPD tells TMZ… Lertora-Leiva was arrested for running onto the field of an active MLB sporting event and disrupting it. He was convicted of 3 offenses, including criminal intrusion.
As we reported, another Yankees fan was just banned for life from attending MLB games in the Bronx – or elsewhere for that matter – after throwing a ball into the field on Saturday night during a game against Boston, and hit the Red Sox outfielder Alex Verdugo.
