Trey Songz has an ally in his corner when it comes to the sexual assault allegations against him – a woman testified that an attorney for Songz’s alleged victim offered her up to $200,000 to change her story and make Trey the bad guy…a claim that the lawyer denies.
If you haven’t been following, Trey is in the middle of a sexual assault lawsuit filed by a woman named Jauhara Jeffries – who says he raped her at a 2017 New Year’s Eve party in Miami.
Trey Songz claims he was victim of witness tampering in Miami sex assault trial
We obtained a transcript of a recent court hearing in this case, where a woman named Mariah Thielen testified that she met with Jeffries’ attorney, Ariel Mitchell, in April 2021 in a Miami bar. Thielen says Mitchell smelled like weed during the meeting and was carrying a gun.
According to the transcript, Thielen — who was with Jeffries the night of Trey’s alleged assault — says Mitchell offered to pay between $100,000 and $200,000 if she lied and said she saw Trey sexually assault Jeffries… and claimed that Trey assaulted her too. Mitchell reportedly said she was trying to paint Trey as “the next R.Kelly.”
Thielen says Mitchell’s plan was to take his allegations to Trey’s team in hopes of reaching a monetary settlement, and his lies would help increase that amount…again, according to the transcript.
Thielen claims she turned down the offer — saying she wouldn’t have lied even for $10 million — and reported the meeting to Trey’s legal team soon after.
Mitchell denies the allegations, telling us, “We are very confident and confident that the court will find that the witness committed perjury. The parties are still awaiting further instructions from the judges on how to proceed given the witness’s inconsistent testimony during the trial. the hearing.”
Mitchell’s partner, George Vrabeckbacked out of the case … but Mitchell says that’s only because “he will represent me against the parties involved in this disgraceful motion brought by Trey Songz and his representatives.”
