Wayne brady is incredibly honored to be nominated for a Daytime Emmy alongside Alex Trebek … but lose against him? Well that would be quite an honor too.
We had the “Let’s Make a Deal” host in Times Square, and wanted to get his 2 cents by being nominated alongside the legendary “Jeopardy!” host for an exceptional game host.
Wayne, still the total gentleman, couldn’t help singing Alex’s praises.
Wayne said that the fact that Alex was nominated posthumously spoke volumes… calling him the accomplished professional and the kind of host who was fluid and always in control.
There are other notable nominees … like Steve harvey for “Family Feud”, Alphonse ribeiro for “Catch 21” and Pat Sajak for “The Wheel of Fortune”. Wayne says there would be no shame in losing to one of them, but losing to Alex? Well, he set the bar after all.
Alex was nominated almost 7 months after having deceased following his courageous fight with pancreatic cancer. Despite announces the diagnosis in March 2019 … Alex continued to organize his 37th season.
He won 6 Emmy Awards for Outstanding Game Show Host. If Alex gets his 7th, you can bet Wayne will be clapping along with the fans.
