But, St-Pierre tells us he’s given it some serious thought … and he just doesn’t feel any return – at least not yet.
“Sometimes I watch the fights and I’m like, ‘Dude, I think I can beat these guys’ or after I finish training I feel very confident,” GSP says.
“But, after I get home at night and think about all these crazy thoughts and I’m like, ‘I’m going to be 40 soon, do I really want to go back and do a training camp? 2 month hardcore “Put me in jail so to speak and prepare for hell? I’m like, no I don’t. “
“I’ve been doing this for a very long time and unfortunately there are too many guys who retire too late and I don’t want to be one of those guys.”
“I’m very lucky, I’m mostly healthy and I’m also rich. I got out at the right time, I made a lot of money and I think the problems are when I have matured and calculated the pros and cons, I had better stay in retirement. “
GSP had nothing but praise for Usman – claiming the guy was one of the smartest fighters and had big things in his future … but he’s just not ready to fall for the moment.
But watch the entire clip … St-Pierre says he’s always up for an offer if the UFC calls him.
So, Dana … the ball is in your camp.
