Two Michael Strahan Super Bowl 42 Jerseys Surface, War Raging Over Which Is Fake
Two camps claim to be in possession of the REAL jersey worn by Michael strahan in Super Bowl 42 … which means someone has a FAKE.
And now the situation is about to explode – with both sides claiming to have a strong case for why their shirts are the real thing.
In a corner, Michael Strahan – Professional Football Hall of Fame.
In the other, Goldin auctions – one of the main sports memorabilia merchants in the country, which prides itself on selling authentic items.
Strahan claims that after his New York Giants beat the New England Patriots on February 3, 2008, he gave his jersey to a friend and asked that person to take him straight to the hotel room of Strahan to keep it.
According to a source close to the NY Giants legend, Strahan insists that the same jersey he passed on to his friend ended up in a frame that is now on display in his home.
If you look closely, we’re told these spots on the jersey are champagne and Gatorade stains from the locker room celebration.
But, Goldin Auctions disputes this claim … insisting that the REAL jersey ended up that day with a Giants’ equipment manager, who then passed it on to another person … who brought it to Goldin Auctions.
Ken goldinGoldin Auctions founder and CEO tells us he’s had two well-respected photo match experts – Mei Gray and Resolution Photo Matching Service – take a look at his jersey and both agree that his jersey is legit.
Goldin also says that when you take a close look at the shirt in Strahan’s house, he thinks there are some obvious inconsistencies in the high-definition photos of the shirt taken directly after the game.
In other words, Goldin thinks the photographic evidence proves he has the TRUE uniform.
“We are 100% convinced that the Strahan jersey from the auction is genuine,” Goldin says … “And the letters and images from the photo match service speak for themselves.”
So what happens next? We are told that Goldin is ready to defend his claims and that he will proceed with his auction.
The most recent bid for the Strahan jersey is $ 39,000 – and Goldin believes she can win $ 100,000.
