It’s not a secret, Tupac Shakur was affiliated with a gang – and a piece from her own jewelry collection confirmed this… one that has now returned to the market with a big price tag.
The rapper’s gold “MOB” ring – as it’s known – comes up for auction this week, courtesy of Moments in time … but it’s not really going to be auctioned off, but more so … just sold at a flat rate – first come, first served.
The going rate … a good price of $ 95,000 – so you can definitely do it if you can afford it. And hey, the value could be perfect – given that the late icon himself wore it a few times, especially once he started hanging out with it. Knight of Suge and co.
For the uninitiated… MOB, in the context of Death Row Records, primarily means Member of Blood – a street gang that Suge was certainly associated with at that time. MOB can stand for other things – money rather than guys, mafia, etc. – but the reference to blood is the most common.
It looks like Suge had a lot of his performers rocking the MOB rings back then – including Pac, who would have typically worn it on his pinky finger, and Snoop dogg too (although its roots are with the Crips). Either way, this ring here has been flashed quite often.
As to how it ended up in MIT’s hands … sources related to the sale tell us that Tupac actually gave this ring to a girlfriend from the time he was dating before his death … and she did. eventually reached a private collector over the years.
Now this collector brings it to Moments and tries to unload it once and for all. Like we said, a good buy if it’s within your budget – and if not … hold your head up, you’ll get there!
