Travis Scott Fined by City of Downey for McDonald’s Fan Event
Travis Scottgets rung for the rowdy gathering at a Mickey D’s house for his new $ 6 meal … but he won’t have to pay much more than that to get himself out of trouble.
The rapper and McDonald’s restaurant in Downey, Calif. Were cited by the city on a large number of fans who showed up to the fast food restaurant last week for the launch of his new meal … because they didn’t had no permit. .
According to the tickets, obtained by TMZ, Travis failed to secure an event permit for a crowd of over 200 before showing up to greet fans who were lining up to try his Cactus Jack meal. He also reportedly failed to obtain a filming permit.
Both quotes come with fines of $ 100, so he has to pay Downey $ 200 to cope … same goes for McDonald’s.
As we reported … Travis showed up to celebrate the launch of his new meal and was mobbed by fans – many of whom were maskless and social distancing – and had to run for cover.
A Downey spokesperson told us that the cops had reported the presence of around 500 people and the PD had dispatched several units to make sure the large crowd stayed safe.
We’re told there weren’t any injuries and there doesn’t appear to be any arrests either, so the only McDamage is Travis and Ronald McDonald’s wallet … but that’s not a lot.
BTW – Scott getting his own McDonald’s meal is a big deal … he’s the first celebrity to have one since Michael jordan in 1992.
Order the $ 6 Cactus Jack deal and you’ll get a quarter pound with cheese, bacon, lettuce, pickles, ketchup and mustard … medium fries with barbecue sauce … and a Sprite.
No need for a permit either.
