Top NBA Prospect Cole Anthony Down To Help Rebuild Knicks, ‘It’d Be Cool!’
Best NBA Draft prospect Cole anthony don’t run away from the trash that is the Knicks … in fact the former UNC star says he would accept being selected by NY !!!
“I mean, look,” said the projected first-round pick TMZ Sports, “hey, that would be cool!”
Of course, the Knicks are kind of in Anthony’s genes … his dad, Greg Anthony, was drafted by NY in 1991 and played with the team for the first 4 seasons of his long NBA career.
But, the Knicks have grown into a complete mess since Papa Anthony roamed Madison Square Garden … and it’s gotten so bad, a ton of free agents have gone up signing there over the past two years.
Cole, however, tells us he’d be excited if the Knicks took him in the October Draft … adding that he’s going to give “all I can” to any team that’s willing to take a chance on him.
That would make sense for the Knicks … Cole was a MONSTER at UNC despite his injuries last season – he averaged 18.5 points, 5.7 rebounds and 4.0 assists in 22 games for the Tar Heels.
By the way, Anthony – who was at the Cove Lounge in New York City for a give back to the kids event this weekend – also told us that his former UNC teammates are fighting like hell to make sure there is have a college basketball season this year.
“They want 1000% to play,” says Cole. “I don’t see why – if you like basketball, why wouldn’t you want to play!?!”
Our sincere thanks to
