Talk about first world problems… Tom Brady just revealed the hardest thing he has to deal with as a parent trying to keep his kids grounded despite their rich and famous lifestyle.
TB12 opened up about being the father of a top Ford boss Jim Farley on the “CONDUCTpodcast earlier this month … and he explained that one of his biggest parenting struggles is teaching his kids humility while being one of the wealthiest families in the country.
“We have people cleaning for us,” said the Tampa Bay Buccaneers star, who has earned more than $300 MILLION in NFL contracts alone. “We have people who prepare our food. We have people who drive us to the airport if we need them. We get off a plane and there are people waiting for us and we are introduced.”
“And it’s just that that’s the reality for my kids. What’s the hardest thing to say, ‘Guys, that’s not really the reality.'”
Brady – who has two sons and a daughter – said balancing was “probably the hardest thing for us as parents”.
Of course, the words were met with immediate backlash – as there are certainly millions around the world who would gladly accept these issues.
But, Brady said these are real issues for him and his wife, Gisele – and these are things he says he has to deal with on a daily basis.
“I know I screwed up a lot of things – that’s the reality of being a parent,” he said. “You just hope you can show them enough things to realize that when they do things that are selected for mom and dad to make our lives more convenient, it’s a treat. You know, it’s not not what all kids do through.”
“Probably one of the biggest challenges we have as parents.”
