‘Storage Wars’ Star Dan Dotson’s Son’s Alleged Shooter Arrested
The good news arrives in 2s for the star of “Storage Wars” Dan Dotson – the man suspected of having shot his son, Garrett, has been arrested and TMZ scholar Garrett is on the mend.
A spokesperson for the Lake Havasu City Police Department told TMZ … that detectives had located the suspect, Garret wilder, around noon Tuesday and arrested the 21-year-old without incident. We are told the cops served a search warrant on the house where they found Wilder and recovered a handgun along with a single worn shell case.
We are told that Wilder has been charged with 2 counts of aggravated assault, drive-by shooting, misconduct involving weapons, disorderly driving with a weapon and endangerment. He’s held on a cash bond of just $ 1 million.
As to what exactly led to filming early Sunday morning – cops say Garrett had a heated exchange of words with Wilder, who was in his car. Wilder eventually fired a pistol, hitting Garrett in the abdomen.
As we reported, he was airlifted to a Las Vegas trauma hospital where he is in stable condition. Our sources say Garrett is already on his feet and already walking, which is pretty incredible … given that doctors said the bullet hit a main blood vessel and fractured his spine.
After coming out of surgery, Garrett was able to move his foot … a very positive sign. He was moved from the ICU on Sunday evening and no longer needed a ventilator.
We are told that Garrett has spoken to his mother and father several times already and they are hoping he will be released in the next week. Due to COVID, Dan and Laura did not see their son in the hospital. Right now, they’re trying to figure out Garrett’s long drive from Vegas to California.
