S’pore To Have A Community Vaccination Centre Across 24 HDB Towns

Singaporeans and long-time residents will be able to be vaccinated against Covid-19 in their city HDB by the end of March.

The government will set up a community vaccination center in all 24 HDB towns here.

Each center can administer 2,000 vaccines per day as the country intensifies its vaccination campaign against Covid-19.

This will ensure that when more vaccines arrive, they can be quickly distributed to the population, especially the elderly, Trade and Industry Minister Chan Chun Sing said yesterday (January 26) during a visit to the center. community vaccination program in Tanjong Pagar. Community club (CC).

The aforementioned CC, along with Teck Ghee CC in Ang Mo Kio, are among the first two such facilities that have been set up to accommodate residents aged 70 and over, in the first phase of the national vaccination campaign.

This decision will give residents easier access to a vaccination center and will also allow capacity if vaccines arrive faster.

“Our goal is to strengthen the immunization capacity before the vaccines arrive, so that the immunization capacity (in the centers) does not come up against a bottleneck,” said Minister Chan.

He added that since they don’t want to waste vaccines, the supply is based on appointments made at a particular location on a certain day.

Each vaccine has a shelf life of five days when stored at two to eight degrees Celsius.

Vaccinations will be gradually rolled out to seniors
