Silentodoesn’t get out of jail, at least not yet… a judge has just turned down his bail request in his murder case.
Rapper “Watch Me (Whip / Nae Nae)” had a bail hearing on Wednesday in DeKalb County, Ga., Where the judge ruled that Silento’s track record of mental health issues – associated with a not to take his meds – made him too risky to be released on bail while his case is pending.
The judge also cited concerns expressed by the prosecutor about Silento’s track record of denying his mental health issues, specifically noting that the rapper had previously left a mental health facility in California. The judge also mentioned that it was impossible to say what might happen if Silento decides NOT to take his medication … noting that it will put the community at risk.
Prosecutors said even her grandparents strongly opposed the link.
Silento’s legal team tried to paint a more favorable picture … calling it a local treasure that was once part of the Governor’s Blue Ribbon panel urging children to stay away from drugs and alcohol. His team says Silento’s problem stems from his bipolar disorder and other mental health issues he has struggled with for years.
But, the judge did not follow up … and ordered Silento to stay behind bars.
TMZ broke the story … Silento demanded that he be released on $ 25,000 bail and assured the judge that he would not be a risk of flight. He was arrested in February and charged with murder for his presumed role in death of his cousin, Frederic rooks.
