‘Selling Sunset’ Stars Mary and Romain Married 19 Months Before TV Wedding
“Selling Sunset” stars Mary fitzgerald and Romain Bonnet pulled a quick one on their fans when it comes to love … because TMZ learned that they actually got down to it for LONG before they started filming their Netflix show.
TMZ has a copy of their license and marriage certificate … and it shows Mary and Romain got married on March 9, 2018 at the Ventura courthouse. Check-out The document … an assistant commissioner for civil marriages presided over the ceremony and a woman named Nicole young was a witness.
It’s super interesting for several reasons. For starters, the 40-year-old high-end real estate agent – married twice before – married a third time 4 months after her divorce from her second husband has been finalized.
Second, filming for the Netflix show began around July 2018 … meaning Mary and Romain had been legally married for at least 4 months before filming began. But, hardcore fans are very much aware of Season 1, Romain proposed to Mary as they relaxed and lay in bed.
And, one more thing … season 2 was all about Mary planning her wedding, buying a wedding dress, and scouting the locations. Her place failed, and then one of her clients offered her elegant LA home. And that’s where the televised wedding took place … on October 12, 2019.
Now, it’s possible that Mary and Romain fell in love quickly and rushed to the courthouse. But, they certainly made the show think they were taking things slow. She introduced him as her boyfriend and at a one year birthday dinner they talked about the kids in their future. Romain didn’t seem totally interested … which prompted Mary to reply, “We should probably talk about it if we think about a future together.”
Then there is that … when Romain met Mary’s colleagues at Mary’s and Chrishell StauseThe combined bday party, the girls told him how long the 27-year-old has been dating Mary. He said a little over a year. The villain of the series, Christine quinn, then asked Romain if marriage was in their future. Romain played it like … we’ll see.
Fake drama in a reality TV show? NOOOOOO !!!!!!!
