Country singer’s husband Sarah Evans was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence on Saturday after cops said he tried to slam his car into the car Evans was being driven in.
Jay Barker, a former Univ. of the Alabama quarterback, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He was held for 12 hours in Davidson County and released on Saturday evening after posting $10,000 bond.
Evans says she was leaving a party, got into the passenger seat of a friend’s car, and as they pulled out of the driveway, she says she saw Barker shoot at her car in reverse, trying to hit them…this according to the affidavit obtained by station WIAT. Barker’s car missed Evans’ car.
The affidavit indicates that the 2 are still married but have separated.
Barker has an Alabama-based radio talk show…”The Jay Barker Show”.
Baker was drafted in 1995 by the Packers and was also a member of the Patriots and Panthers … but never played.
