Sacha Baron Cohen is angry with a cannabis company that he says sticks his “Borat” character on one of his giant billboards … and now he’s suing.
The actor has filed a lawsuit against Solar Therapeutics, where he alleges the company is using his famous character to sell medical marijuana in Massachusetts … where Borat’s face appears on the ad, alongside one of his lines of mark, “It’s good”.
Well, Sacha doesn’t think so.
According to documents obtained by TMZ, Sacha claims Solar Therapeutics is pulling a quick one using Borat on the ad – which sits next to a freeway – because it has no connection with the company.
In fact, Ash says he doesn’t even smoke weed – a major disappointment for many “Borat” fans, we suspect – and would never join an ad campaign for the pot. No offense to those who indulge, we are sure.
Sacha is suing the cannabis company for at least $ 9 million in damages … and he wants the court to stop Solar from using his name, image and likeness to sell his products.
