Royce White Says Draymond Green’s Wrong, NBA Players Should Leave Bubble Now
Former NBA player Royce White said his friend Draymond Green is simply wrong to say that NBA players should continue the playoffs … explaining why the right decision is for everyone to leave the bubble ASAP !!
White explained his case on an episode of TMZ Sports Roundtable with an NFL player Brandon marshall, and WNBA star Angel McCoughtry.
The video is awesome … the group starts a lively conversation about how professional athletes should move forward after player demonstrations in the NBA, WNBA, MLB, NFL and more.
In other words … what’s the next step?
Royce White – a former NBA first round pick – says he thinks the NBA needs to ditch the bubble and go back to their communities and hang out with the people.
This is the exact opposite of what Draymond Green said earlier this week when he encouraged players to stay and use the NBA platform to effectively send their social justice messages to the masses.
“He’s wrong, he’s out of place with that,” White said of Draymond… “It’s not about awareness campaigns anymore. Report to the front lines. If you can’t you present to the front lines, send help.
White also had advice for James lebron – “Go to Akron Ohio. Walk with the people. Stay there until something really changes, and if they choose to be completely violent, leave your body lying in the street when it’s over.”
As for McCoughtry … she weighed in on everything from the WNBA action plan to the gap between Atlanta Dream Co-Owner Kelly loeffler and the players.
As we have already reported, Loeffler is strongly against league support for the Black Lives Matter movement.
Some players called on Loeffler to sell the team … she has different values than the players it takes advantage of.
Angel – who played 10 years for The Dream – tells us why she does NOT believe Loeffler is racist … but could learn more about social justice issues.
Brandon Marshall – one of the first NFL players to kneel Colin Kaepernick in 2016 – explained to us why he still does not fully accept Roger goodellMea Cupla talks about how the league treated the QB today.
Marshall says he doesn’t think progress can really be made until Kaepernick gets a job in the NFL again.
One thing Marshall explains perfectly, Kaepernick was train like a maniac … and is still deadly serious about wanting to resume his NFL career.
