Damon Dash won’t go rogue and auctioned off Jay ZNFT’s “Reasonable Doubt” album… he and Roc-A-Fella Records settled the matter before it got this far.
According to new legal documents, obtained by TMZ, Dash and RAF have agreed to the terms of a settlement – Dame agrees that only the RAF has the right to sell an NFT of the famous album.
TMZ broke the story…Roc-A-Fella sued DD in June 2021, claiming that Dash was attempting to mint “Reasonable Doubt” as a non-fungible token in order to sell it to the highest bidder.
The record company argued that the album was not for sale to Damon because the company owned it.
As part of the settlement, Damon and the RAF agree that no individual shareholder can sell the album as an NFT – meaning Jay can’t either – as it is owned by the company and not a shareholder. individual.
The only thing Dame can sell, per the rules, is her own third-party ownership in Roc-A-Fella Records, Inc.
Go figure, Lady…I guess you can stop the commotion.
