Richard branson is here to prove he’s the billionaire king of space travel, working with his team to beat Amazon Jeff Bezos out of Earth’s atmosphere … according to a new report.
Bezos has announced that he and his brother will be on the first crewed flight for his aerospace company Blue Origin – the 11-minute trip is slated to launch on July 20. However, a report from the blog Parabolic arch says Bezos’ announcement sparked a space race with big Virgin Galactic boss Richard Branson – who now wants to launch his rocket-powered flight over the weekend of July 4.

Branson’s biggest possible problem, according to Parabolic Arc, is that VG will need to first obtain a Reusable Commercial Spaceship Operator License from the FAA.
Details of Branson’s possible trip are scarce, but if approved, he will travel in Virgin Galactic’s VSS Unity SpaceShipTwo rocket plane for the trip. The billionaire has yet to speak publicly about the trip.
Someone who sure won’t find entertainment in the billionaire space race? Elizabeth warren. We had the senator in Washington on Thursday who said that Bezos’ planned trip to space was a slap in the face to taxpayers … who she says are essentially funding the trip because Bezos isn’t paying his fair share of taxes.
