Reza Farahan says politicians have messed up priorities and clearly have no idea what’s going on at drag shows as they try to make laws preventing children from attending.
We caught up with the former ‘Shahs of Sunset’ star in Los Angeles and asked him what he thinks of potential new legislation in Texas and Florida…that would make it a crime for parents to bring their kids with them. to do reviews.
Reza says that’s not just wrong, it’s heartbreaking — he doesn’t understand why drag shows are sexualized by people who don’t know about it. He says these shows are nothing but a bunch of people expressing themselves and entertaining people in their own way.
He adds that the shows are an art form…all about people living their best lives and expressing love and happiness. Reza insisted, politicians just love to sensationalise anything related to the LGBTQ+ community.
Texas State Representative Bryan Slaton recently said he was filing the potential bill after recent footage went viral of children in Dallas attending a drag show.
Reza’s particularly furious Texas executives pick this fight so soon after the horrific mass shooting in Uvalde, TX — and says gun violence is a real issue they should be focusing on to protect children.
