Randy Couture and GF Injured in ATV Accident, UFC Legend to Undergo Surgery
UFC Hall of Fame Randy Couture and his girlfriend, Mindy robinson, were both injured in an ATV accident in Arizona on Monday … and Randy is going to have surgery, TMZ Sports has learned.
The 57-year-old former UFC heavyweight champion was riding a private road on his property in Flagstaff, Ariz. With Mindy as a passenger when he lost control of the vehicle.
We are told that Randy was pretty roughed up while Mindy escaped almost unharmed. She was slightly injured.
The couple eventually returned home before determining that Randy needed medical assistance … so they went to a nearby hospital, where Randy was treated for a shoulder and rib injury.
Couture is due to have surgery Tuesday afternoon … but should make a full recovery.
It’s been a tough 12 months for Randy who had a heart attack in October 2019, which also required surgery.
Couture says he’s made a full recovery from this problem – and he’s been back to the gym like a maniac since walking home from the hospital.
Randy is considered one of the greatest MMA fighters in the history of the sport by defeating legends like Tito Ortiz, Chuck Liddell and Vitor Belfort during his historic career.
He was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame in 2006.
