President Biden fell off his bike on a weekend getaway to his hometown – but that wasn’t even while the thing was in motion… he flipped over when coming to a complete stop.
JB was cycling with Dr. Jill Biden and a group of Secret Service agents on Saturday in Rehoboth Beach, DE – near his vacation home there – and as he turned a corner on the way and walked towards a group of admirers/reporters. .he braked.
It didn’t look like anything was wrong, that is…until POTUS tried to get off the bike, that’s when things started to look a little awkward.
Apparently Joe got his foot awkwardly tripped over the pedal on the right side—and before he and everyone else knew it…46 was coming down. He dropped (a little hard) right in front of the group of people, where the cameras were rolling and people gasped audibly in shock.
It’s not every day that the Commander-in-Chief comes by, and it’s even rarer when the guy goes down like a cut down tree. As you can imagine… the SS arrived and helped their boss up.
It looks like he was able to get up pretty quickly, and when someone asked him if he was okay, Joe reportedly replied, “I’m fine.” The White House backed this up with an official statement, saying the Prez had an accident, but no medical attention was needed.
All’s well that ends well…even though Joe absorbed what seemed like the opposite of a soft landing, he continued on his way. So yeah, back on the horse two wheels.
Also of note, Joe is nearly 80 (his birthday is in November) and you’d think a spill like this could put him out of commission for the day. It’s not… the president is tough as nails.
