The Pregnant Woman Who Uses Roe’s Reversal c. Wade to fight a traffic ticket in Texas says she’s been experiencing tons of backlash and worries the added stress could trigger an early birth.
Brandy Botton tells TMZ … she’s getting tons of heat for using the SCOTUS decision to try to evade a ticket to drive solo in the HOV lane, with some people even telling her to get an abortion, even though she’s 34 pregnant weeks.
For Brandy, she says abortion hate mail is kicking in and as a result, she stopped reading replies and replies to her viral story. It’s probably for the best.
As we reported … Brandy says she was 32 weeks pregnant when she got pulled over in Dallas County and a cop issued the $275 ticket. She plans to fight him in court though, pretend that her fetus is a person – and therefore a passenger – under Texas law.
Brandy tells us she’s pregnant with her first daughter and worries about having an early labor with all the stress – something she says happened when she was pregnant with her 2 sons. .
Brandy, who has a GoFundMe page that has raised nearly $1,000, tells us she’s not just trying to stir a political pot on the SCOTUS Decision – she firmly believes that her defense is a fair interpretation of Texas law.
