PETA is angry with Jack Harlow for “glamorizing horse racing” in his latest music video … calling on him to make things right by immediately donating his winnings to the project.
A rep for PETA tells TMZ … Jack made a big mistake showing the sport in his “Churchill Downs” video with Duck. They say it only shows the positives of the event and “misses the whippings, drugs and deaths that plague the industry”.
They believe Jack profits from animal abuse and urge the rapper to pay for the care of American Thoroughbreds that would otherwise be sent to slaughterhouses.
According to PETA, an average of 3 racehorses die every day on American tracks…and they claim that 7,500 thoroughbreds are exported for slaughter every year.
Jack, who is originally from Louisville, KY, shot the video at this year’s Kentucky Derby…some saw it as a love letter to his hometown, while organizations like PETA believe the tragedies unfolding at Churchill Downs and race tracks across the country are only not something to profit from.
