Pennsylvania’s Second Lady Gets Called the N-Word at Grocery Store
The Second Lady of Pennsylvania – the Lieutenant Governor’s wife – was approached by a woman who used racist epithets and told her to leave the United States.
Gisele Barreto Fetterman – who is married to Lieutenant Governor John Fetterman – had to deal with that awful encounter on Sunday when she went to the grocery store on her own … being recognized by a woman online who had the nerve to verbally attack her and follow her out into the field.
Fetterman says she was able to capture some of the lady’s hateful remarks – including a clear use of the n-word – after getting back into her vehicle and tightening her between crying. She writes, “This behavior and hatred is taught. If you know her, if she is your neighbor or relative, please teach her love instead.”
For what it’s worth, Fetterman is of Brazilian descent and not black. Yet the fact that this woman has used such a racist term as a weapon shows that some people are too comfortable these days to throw it … at anyone.
The incident also shows how divided the country is currently – something Fetterman also noted on Twitter. Of course, Pennsylvania is a huge swing state in the next election … and although recent polls show POTUS is hanging out there, much of it is still Asset country.
As for the culprit in this specific case, state soldiers are reportedly investigating … and lawmakers have publicly condemned the attack while supporting Fetterman.
