Olivia Wilde has just won a great victory in its custody war against Jason Sudeikis …after claiming he intentionally humiliated her by throwing an usher at her in the middle of a public appearance.
As we previously reported, Oliva was on stage at CinemaCon in Vegas in April, when a guy interrupted her speech and handed him a manila envelope. She thought it was a script and opened it up to the public, but when she realized what it was… she fell silent.
Turns out they were legal docs courtesy of Jason, asking a judge to hear their custody case in New York. Olivia then filed her own legal papers in Los Angeles, calling BS on Jason because the kids live in California, not New York.
In documents obtained by the Daily Mail, Olivia’s team called Jason’s decision to serve her an “outrageous legal tactic.” She said: “His actions were clearly intended to threaten me and catch me off guard. He could have served me quietly, but instead he chose to serve me in the most aggressive way possible.”
She continued … “For Jason to embarrass me professionally and expose our personal conflict in this way is extremely contrary to the best interests of our children.”
As we reported, a source close to Jason maintained that he had no idea she would be served in such a public space.
However, Olivia had the final say…according to court documents obtained by TMZ, there was a zoom hearing last month with Olivia, Jason, their attorneys, and the judges in New York and LA. Both judges agreed. .. New York was NOT the children’s home – California was, so the custody case will be held in LA County.
Olivia wants to move to London at the end of the year, largely because her boyfriend, Harry Styles, resides here. Looks like there’s going to be a fight over where the kids end up living, though it’s possible they’ll go back and forth between Olivia and Jason.
