Barack obama categorically said … canceling culture has become a dangerous weapon in America, but he sees a silver lining.
Obama spoke about what he calls the dangers of demanding human perfection in an interview with CNN Anderson Cooper. Her point of view … “At least in conversations with my daughter, I think a lot of dangers of canceling the crop and we’ll just condemn people all the time, at least among my daughters, they will sometimes recognize among their peer group or on college campuses, you will see people going too far. “
As for Sacha and Malia, he adds, “But they’ve got a pretty good sense of the look, we don’t want, we don’t expect everyone to be perfect.”
That said, he went on to say that culture cancellation has its place in cases of cruelty or discrimination, and he believes young people are leading the charge in correcting such injustices.
Obama tells Cooper… his daughters and their peers don’t just accept things like the racist criminal justice system or people discriminated against because of their sexual orientation – they know it’s wrong and are trying to change it.
As you may remember … slammed cancel crop before, in 2019, but he called it a “waking” culture and made it clear that he didn’t believe it amounted to activism.
Looks like he thinks people – especially younger ones – understand this today.
