North Dakota City Councilwoman Comes Out as Gay During LGBTQ+ Debate
A city councilor from Minot, North Dakota, entered the case with a resident at a council meeting on Friday – a resident who was clearly upset that the city would dare to raise an LGBTQ + flag – and she does. silenced her by telling her and the rest of the City … she’s gay and proud of it.
Advisor Carrie Evans clearly with the man who has gay issues, saying, “So Mr. Walker, if you don’t know, and I think a lot of people in this room don’t know, and have come here just because it’s a gay issue, I’m proudly the first openly elected lesbian from North Dakota. That’s why I don’t care about your bullshit!
She continued… “I am a person. I can see myself portrayed on this pole just as much as the people who won the June 19 flag last month, as much as the POW / MIA will be later this month.
And that was not the end … “Every person has the right to be represented. We are not a bunch of people who live in San Francisco or Seattle. We are here. We are your chosen ones. We are your brothers. we are your sisters, and do not tell me that you are neither hate nor anger. It’s all I feel. I have been listening to it for days now, as have the mayor and many of my colleagues. It is unacceptable!”
And then she finished with this … “I’m sorry that didn’t make you comfortable, but here we are, we’re weird and we won’t be leaving!”
His response … “Thanks for exposing yourself …” Well, that says it all, right?
Our sincere thanks to
