Michael Jordan Sparked Kenny Lattimore Sales Boom After ‘Last Dance’, Singer Says
R&B Star Kenny lattimore says its SKYROCKETED music sales thanks to this memorable scene from “The Last Dance” starring Michael jordan on his songs over 20 years ago!
In other words, THE GM EFFECT IS REAL, YO!
Remember the scene … MJ was on the Chicago Bulls team bus on their way to Game 1 of the 1998 NBA Finals when someone asked him what he was listening to on his headphones.
Jordan bragged about having previously unreleased Kenny Lattimore tracks – and seemed to really enjoy it.
So when we saw Lattimore at LAX the other day, we had to wonder if the docu series cameo had increased a surge in music sales.
“The Michael Jordan effect is really real !!!” Kenny said.
“There are so many people all over the world who have started following me, sending me messages [because of ‘The Last Dance]. “
“People were like, ‘This is Jordan’s guy’ or ‘I’m going to listen to this’ because that’s what Jordan is listening to.” “
Lattimore says his music sales have gone “to another level” thanks to the documentation – noting that his song streams were also on the rise.
If you are not familiar with Lattimore’s music … ALREADY GET ON YOUTUBE AND CHECK IT OUT!
