Mayweather Boxing Prodigy Danny Gonzalez, Suspects Arrested for 1st-Degree Murder
Two men suspected of murder Floyd Mayweather boxing prodigy Danny gonzalez have been arrested, TMZ Sports confirmed … and the cops say they’re still looking for a third suspect.
Both 27 years old André Richee and 32 years old Lee mooring were arrested Thursday for 1st degree murder resulting from the September 7 incident.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office also said it had issued an arrest warrant for a 28-year-old woman Joseph goldsmith on his alleged involvement in the shooting.
As we previously reported … Gonzalez, 22 – who signed with Mayweather’s The Money Team in 2016 – was shot on labor day in Moreno Valley, Calif., just before 9 p.m.
The cops say that when they responded to the scene … Gonzalez succumbed to his gunshot wounds. They say two other men were also shot and wounded in the incident.
What is still not clear … why Gonzalez was killed? Officials have not disclosed a possible motive.
Investigators say they not only spoke with several witnesses, but also have evidence and surveillance footage showing Richee and Mooring as the killers.
If convicted of first degree murder, both face the death penalty.
RCSO is now asking for help in finding Goldsmith.
Floyd was convinced Gonzalez was going to be a star after signing with TMT Promotions when he was just 18 … with Mayweather saying, “There are times when you know you’ve just landed the gold and he’s one of them. “
Danny took 3 professional fights after signing with Floyd … but eventually left the sport in 2017.
Gonzalez’s social media posts suggested a return to boxing may have been underway before his tragic death.
