Maybank Launches New Credit Card With Shopee
Maybank officially launched its first ever co-branded e-commerce credit card with the Maybank Shopee credit card. Powered by Visa, the credit card aims to be the ultimate Platinum lifestyle and e-commerce card for Malaysians.
At the launch of the live broadcast, Dato ‘John Chong, CEO of the Maybank group of community financial services, points to the timely release of the credit card to accommodate the increasing shift of customers to online shopping.
With benefits specially tailored to the Shopee and Maybank experiences, customers can expect many rewards such as 5x Shopee Coins for purchases on Shopee and Maybank TreatPoints for rewards of more than 5,000 Shopee coins.
The card application begins on July 1 and successful applicants will receive a welcome offer of 5,000 Shopee coins if they spend RM300 within 60 days. And, as part of Shopee’s 7.7 mid-year sales campaign, those who sign up for the card before July 7 will also receive Shopee vouchers worth RM500 when they spend RM300 in 45 days (on a first come, first served basis).
Who is eligible for the Maybank Shopee credit card?
- Malaysians aged 21 to 65
- Minimum annual income of RM 36,000

- 5X Shopee Coins for purchases at Shopee on the 28th of each month during the selected campaigns
- 4X Shopee Coins for restaurant, entertainment and contactless transaction expenses
