Malikah Shabazz, the daughter of late civil rights leader Malcolm X, was found dead in Brooklyn, less than a week after the 2 men convicted of her father’s murder were exonerated … confirmed TMZ.
Police sources tell us that Shabazz’s death does not seem suspicious, she was found face down in her living room by her daughter. The timing is strange given that last week Muhammad Aziz and Khalil Islam, 83, who died in 2009, were exonerated after a decades-long investigation.
Shabazz was one of 6 children of Malcolm X with his wife Betty Shabazz.
Malcolm X was only 39 when he was assassinated in New York in 1965.
We recently had Phil Bertelsen, the director and producer of the Netflix documentary “Who Killed Malcolm X?” on TMZ Live to talk about when Aziz found out he had been exonerated … telling us it was a very emotional moment.
Malikah was only 56 years old, the official cause of his death is not yet known.
