COVID-19 Can’t Stop Los Angeles From Partying Before Super Bowl LVI…Because Several Event Planners Say So TMZ Sports the show will go on – with precautions, of course.
As COVID-19 cases surge across the country, many questions have been raised as to whether the traditional blows leading up to the big game will continue as planned.
We have learned that at least three of the biggest parties will continue as planned, including the event hosted by the sports agent Leigh Steinberg — AKA the real Jerry Maguire — at Sony Studios.
We are told that Steinberg invite-only bash will be filled with celebrities and current/former players – with tons of food and drink… plus a cool brain lounge with crazy tech, a silent auction and more.
FYI – Sony can accommodate up to 5,000 people, but we’re told the event will only be at half capacity… and all guests must be vaxxed or test negative within 48 hours of arriving.
“It’s 90% outdoors” Lee Ann Adams, the vice president of special projects for Leigh Steinberg Entertainment, tells us.
“We only have one interior space where our brain lounge is because we have very valuable equipment there.”
“We’re as COVID safe as we can be and inside obviously you have to wear a mask. You’re in LA and it’s mandatory.”
Hall of fame Terrell Davis and Babes and Ballerinas will also host their own SB bash… with the rapper Lil Jon and the Los Angeles Rams cheerleaders will head to Academy Hall.
Davis’ shindig will also be following LA’s COVID-19 protocols — in fact, they’re adding extra hand sanitizer stations to the site … as they’re expecting 1,200 guests.
“The club has already fixed some on the wall”, Steve Fowler from Babes and Ballers said. “But we will have a few more at each entrance, bathroom, VIP room and patio.”
For NAAB Radios an event, the station plans 500 revelers at the Taglyan Complex … and will also adhere to city guidelines.
“We plan to follow all CDC protocols and require our guests to show proof of vaccinations/test results while hosting a memorable 2022 Super Bowl party,” the NAAB Radio co-founder said. Denise Darrell tell us.
Now that security concerns are out of the way…it’s time to party.
That is, as long as you are COVID-19 negative / have the vax and have a mask handy!!!
