Lori Harvey is the latest celeb to be dragged through the mud for detailing her weight loss journey – which is just another lesson for the rich and famous… don’t say anything.
The model and influencer recently hopped on TikTok to describe a diet/exercise regimen that she’s gone on to lose a ton of weight — over 15 pounds, and maybe more, she explains — that she said to have won after starting with Michael B. Jordan.
Wanting to share some knowledge… LH spills the tea, but it completely backfires. She says she’s been doing Pilates regularly for about a year — but when she was in weight loss mode, she did more than that…including lots of cardio.
Then the real secret is revealed – Lori says she’s been in a calorie deficit, only taking in about 1,200 in that time, she adds, and that’s where she catches a ton of reviews.
Many criticize her for promoting what they see as unhealthy crash dieting methods… which people say is actually hurtful to the standards who might follow Lori’s lead, given the number of followers/fans she has and her influence.
There is also talk of the fear of fat in society, claiming that Hollywood is obsessed with distorted and unrealistic body image which also does great harm to society as a whole.
You will remember… Kim Kardashian has also been lambasted lately for announcing that she lost 16 pounds in a matter of two weeks just to fit into the Marilyn Monroe dress for the Met Gala.
While it’s unclear how fast Lori lost her weight, she’s getting the same reception – but funny enough, it seems like a lot of people are defending her… arguing that she simply answered a question her fans wanted know, and that this diet worked for her specifically.
It looks like Lori predicted this, as she followed her video with a comment…essentially saying that this plan worked for her, and she doesn’t necessarily encourage others to do the same…because bodily needs and Everyone’s nutritional status is vastly different.
You’d think it goes without saying — but apparently people can’t think for themselves in 2022. And, as usual, celebrities better zip it up these days.
