Lesley Stahl Gets Security Due to Death Threat After Trump Interview
The “60 Minutes” interview President Trump cut short what he thought was an unfair questioning Lesley stahl left her and her family in a dangerous situation … TMZ has learned.
Multiple sources tell us … CBS is now providing Stahl with 24-hour security due to a death threat at the home of one of his immediate family members on the West Coast.
We are told that the network has guards who monitor the homes of Lesley and her family members and escort them if they go out in public.
Police sources tell us that the death threat call was reported to LAPD around 9 a.m. on Thursday, October 22.
The call came days after word broke that the President had released Lesley. It’s also a few hours before Trump published the full interview before the Sunday show.
Stahl’s “60 Minutes” interview aired on CBS Sunday night … including his follow-up interview with VP Mike pence as to why the Prez abandoned it.
Pence didn’t really have an answer, but it was obvious from his abridged interview that POTUS felt like Lesley was swarming him unfairly. For his part, Stahl accused Pence and Trump of insulting his show.
Our sources say the police have opened an investigation into the death threat.
