Mayor of LA Eric GarcettiHe’s going to be pissed off when he sees this, because some enraged Angelenos have found a way around the mayor’s threat to shut down utilities for the coronavirus scofflaws.
Check out this wild scene from a full-blown rager that took place on Friday night in Marina del Rey – just south of Venice – where a massive group of people piled up in a parking lot right next to the harbor where they took partied. faces off … without masks or distancing.
We are told that the bash was launched at Dock 52, a popular marina in the harbor. It’s unclear who’s running this joint, but they must have slept behind the wheel to let this continue.
In any case, this outdoor shindig was fertile ground for potentially spreading the virus … perhaps less than if he was standing indoors, but still dangerous. Eyewitnesses tell us it went on for several hours – from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. – and the cops cut it off. There was a van parked in the middle serving as a central hub, blaring music and serving us a light show.
Of course, that goes against Mayor Eric Garcetti’s public threat on Wednesday, allowing local utility companies to shut off water and electricity to homes that housed huge ragers, much like that. Garcetti’s order came a few days later a wild party in a house at the top of Mulholland Drive.
We learn that there is another massive party scheduled for Saturday night, but the LA mayor will be upset again because this one is in Bev Hills.
