Kim kardashian was a godsend for Julius Jones‘family as they wait to hear from the governor on whether he will live or die – and even as the day draws closer, she continues to check in… so says the man’s own brother.
sister of Jules, Antoinette Jones, TMZ tells… Kim has been in touch with the family over the past few days to see how they’re holding up – but more importantly, to get a feel for how JJ himself is handling the dire situation.
She even recently posted updates on Instagram, highlighting where things stand with the Julius case … and, again, calling out the Governor of Oklahoma. Kevin stitt do the right thing.
While this may seem like a simple speech to some … Antoinette tells us that lobbying and defending Kim on behalf of her brother has meant the world for their family behind the scenes – insisting that she is a “real one.” “and actually cares about what’s going on here.
Not only that… but Antoinette says Kim knows her case as well, legally speaking – and she impressed the Joneses with the extent of her knowledge of the facts of the case and beyond.
Most influential, however, is Kim’s massive cultural influence … which Antoinette says has been immeasurable in bringing Julius’ story to light – and for which she says she and the rest of the family are more than grateful… regardless of what happens on Thursday when Julius is due to be executed.
A quick note on this… the Parole Board recommended that Julius not be executed but rather serve a life sentence behind bars… but the ball is in Governor Stitt’s court with no movement… and now it’s almost at the point of no return.
Considering that the government can still grant clemency at the 11th hour… Antoinette asks anyone with an audience and some strength to lean in and help them publicize what they call a parody of justice.
As you may know by now… Julius was indicted and convicted of first degree murder in 2002 – prosecutors blamed him on the shooting death of 45-year-old Paul Howell. Julius has always claimed his innocence … and there has been a lot of talk about the weakness of the evidence in the crime case, not to mention the racist undertones.
Kim has done her part… now the Jones family is asking anyone else to come together to do it too.
