Atlanta Rap Sheriffs mike the killer and 2 chains are excited that their local council is backing away from a proposed ban affecting local residents who obtain nightclub permits.
2 Chainz introduced himself briefly, but quickly passed the mic on Monday to more experienced Mike … who let the Board know he was in attendance in May and was disappointed at the lack of movement on the matter.
RIGHT: “Do the right thing and send it to committee.”
Killer Mike, with an introduction from 2Chainz, just made very critical remarks to the Atlanta City Council on a “public nuisance” proposal that he says will target black-owned nightclubs and businesses.@KillerMike @2chainz @cbs46 pic.twitter.com/f5ChbPvuBZ

He passionately stated his case…that the ‘public nuisance’ ban targets local business owners, who are largely black, and would effectively erase the city’s cultural identity – which has happened before. in New York, Los Angeles and Miami.
Mike also warned that allowing corporations to hold dominance would mean an immediate loss for working-class residents and urged the Council to turn the tide…instead of waiting for public reaction.

He also reminded everyone that ATL celebrities and artists are funding the city’s immediate efforts, so – as a Spike Lee seal – they should be doing the right thing.
Outside, 2 Chainz rallied the troops and spotted a few creative billboards in protest.
