Kanye westThe first presidential rally did not help get on the ballot in another major state … he just missed the cup in South Carolina.
Kanye’s campaign missed Monday’s deadline to participate in the November SC poll … Chris WhitmoreSouth Carolina State Election Commission director of public information told TMZ.
Kanye is a candidate for the Independent Birthday Party, which gave him a deadline to get the 10,000 signatures needed as a petition candidate, but we’re told the state election commission hasn’t heard a look at Ye or his campaign – – no traditional signatures and no digital signatures.
As we reported … Kanye attempted to collect enough signatures over the weekend, even asking people to sign up on social media, and organized a wild country rally who alarmed, upset and concerned his friends and the Kardashians.
None of this moved the needle, apparently.
Kanye’s hopes of being on the state ballot are pretty much dashed … there’s no registration option for voters in South Carolina and the only way Yeezy could being on the november ballot is now as a legitimate party candidate (republican, democrat, libertarian, green, etc.) and that doesn’t happen.
For those who score at home … Kanye’s on the ballot in Oklahoma, but it’s now pampered in South Carolina, Florida, or Michigan.
