Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. Home Burglarized, Thieves Jack $750k In Valuables
Boxing star Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. claims burglars ransacked her home in Los Angeles – taking approximately $ 750,000 in jewelry and other valuables, TMZ Sports has learned.
Chavez, 34 – son of boxing legend Julio Cesar Chavez Sr. – believes the burglary took place last week while the family was out of town. We are told that it appears the intruders entered the house through a bathroom window.
Our police sources tell us … Chavez and his wife, Frida, believe the crooks stole several items, including a small safe containing around $ 600,000 in jewelry and designer handbags.
They also received about $ 150,000 in other property in the house … for a total of $ 750,000.
We are told the cops are investigating but so far no arrests have been made and no suspects have been named.
Chavez Jr. – the former WBC middleweight champion – is married to Frida Chavez, who recently gave birth to their second child.
Frida was previously married to Edgar Guzman Lopez – the son of the boss of the Sinaloa cartel Joaquin guzman, A.K.A El Chapo.
Edgar was killed in 2008 when he was ambushed in a supermarket parking lot by a gang of rival cartel members.
We’re told police are aware of family ties – but it’s unclear if the El Chapo link has anything to do with the heist.
