Jon Stewart Rips Congress Over Veterans Exposed to Burn Pits
Jon stewart Calls on Congress to be stingy when it comes to soldiers injured by toxic fumes during battle – and he claims the government has the money, it’s just spending it in the wrong places.
We welcomed the comedian on Tuesday on his trip to Capitol Hill, where he lobbies Congress on behalf of the nearly 200,000 veterans who say their health has been affected by exposure to burners while serving at the foreign.
Jon tells us that the legislation he wants to enact – making exposure to burns a presumed condition for veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars – is overdue, and he compares it to the Victims’ Compensation Fund. September 11th.
The problem is … former “Daily Show” host says Congress has been dragging its feet for over a decade, which he doesn’t understand because he says it’s not a partisan issue . He is tearing up legislators for not having put the funds of the Ministry of Defense “to good causes”.
If you think this is really a matter of politics for Jon, you are wrong. Look what he said when we asked if President Trump or Joe biden can fix this – or if it would ever have done so.
Our sincere thanks to
