John Cena turned a child’s fantasy into a real-life storybook ending – showing up to meet a boy whose family was said to have fled Ukraine… just to meet the wrestling superstar.
WWE released this video earlier in the week, showing JC appearing in Europe to meet Misha Rohozhyn – a teenager with Down syndrome, who has been forced to flee his hometown of Mariupol in recent months due to the Russian attack.
Misha, a teenager with non-verbal Down Syndrome, couldn’t understand why his family had to flee Mariupol this year.
To appease him, his mother told him that they were traveling to meet John Cena.
Cena heard… and went to Amsterdam to help.

The story goes… Misha, who doesn’t speak, was confused and upset about leaving the house – as he didn’t quite understand what was going on. So his mother told him a story to help him.
She convinced her son that they had to leave so they could go have a one-on-one with Cena… who is Misha’s hero. The kid has a ton of clothes with John’s face on it, so hearing that…he may have been convinced to embark on the dangerous journey.
This is why John Cena is the GOAT. #Smack down pic.twitter.com/gopBJFdqdY

As a sweet feeling is in itself, it gets even better…because John was apparently made aware of this teenager’s dream and ventured to Amsterdam – where they had successfully eloped – and come full circle on what had been promised. Totally. Impressive.
The video itself tells the whole story, so we’ll let John speak for himself as to why he did this and what exactly it means to him… but more importantly, to Misha.
A teenager with Down Syndrome escaped besieged Mariupol as his mother weaved a motivational fantasy that John Cena was at the end of their dangerous journey out of Ukraine. The fantasy ended in a happy reality. https://t.co/nm7Qoz7h7D

Seems like this encounter was everything the teen could hope for and more. Once again, John proves why he’s a class act – especially when it comes to his work with children.
Well done.
