How To Register Dependents For COVID-19 Vaccine On MySejahtera

Khairy Jamaluddin posted a Tweeter earlier this morning about the MySejahtera app now allowing users to register their dependents for the COVID-19 vaccine.

However, this feature was first rolled out for Apple users, although he assured others that the update should be available soon.

Just like registering for the vaccine, the process of registering your dependents is just as convenient.

It’s located under the same tab that you go to (COVID-19 Vaccination) to see your own record, and now you’ll see “Add dependent vaccine” below.

This is where you will be able to see a list of your dependents as you add them. To add a dependent, you will need to have:

  • Full Name,
  • Relationship,
  • NRIC / passport number,
  • Age,
  • Genre,
  • Current address.

As for who you can register as a dependent, this includes spouses, children, siblings, parents / in-laws, grandparents, guardians and others (no one knows not what that can refer to at the moment).

You cannot add a dependent who has already registered for the vaccine with their own MySejahtera account or on someone else’s account.

In addition, the dependent must be over 18 years of age to register.

This feature was rolled out after public complaints that many of their elderly parents did not own smartphones and therefore did not have a MySejahtera account to enroll in the COVID-19 vaccine.

The elderly are given priority in the vaccination phases, and the update comes in a timely manner before the start of the second phase of the program which is expected to start in April.

A A total of 68,003 people, including 48,564 elderly and 19,439 disabled, have been targeted by the government to receive the vaccine in the second phase.
