Healthy Chicken Bone Broth Soup Delivery In Klang Valley
Author’s Blurb: I used to think of broths or soup noodles as sick food when I was a child. As a worried and anxious adult now, a bowl of it never fails to calm me down. From its warmth to fragrant flavors, this is my first suggestion every time someone asks me: “What do you want to eat?”
Real estate agent and mother, Sue, aims to make bone broths accessible to as many people as possible through her home business.
Despite being a staple in her family, she never thought of monetizing or starting a business.
But in October 2020, things changed when she launched Just Stock to release the simple concoction that is still believed to have multiple health benefits.
During the day, she works full time. At night, she cleaned and prepared the raw chicken, then roasted them in her oven. Other ingredients like carrots, onions and leeks are chopped and tossed into a large pot with the roast chicken.
A pinch of pink Himalayan salt and other herbs later, simmer for long hours. Once cooled, she divides them in trays and freezes them to keep them fresher longer.
Because the broths are made to order from scratch by Sue and her helper, customers must wait up to 7 days before receiving them.
For now, Just Stock only delivers to those in Klang Valley. The broth can be used to cook soups, porridge, stews, noodles, meats or eaten as is.
A pot of their 430g roast chicken bone broth is priced at RM29.90, while their 270g variant is RM18.90.
Of course, this is not the only brand of bone broth in Malaysia. Another one we found was an Instagram company, @bytqahnasir, which sells a 5 pack of their 50g bone broths for RM15-RM20.
However, this business targets a whole different customer segment, and that’s in the form of baby food.
Sue shared that her method of standing out is through packaging Just Stock and educating the masses about the benefits of bone broths.
I think their audience and segmentation is quite different. It’s who we talk to and who we talk to. From our packaging to the tone and style of our communication pieces that we broadcast. They need to be relevant and appealing to our consumers – that’s how I think we set ourselves apart from the rest.

Every time I ordered Grab Soup Noodles in a paper bowl-shaped wrapper, they would always seep through the material, creating a soggy mess.
Therefore, I was curious as to why Sue chose to pack her broths in kraft paper jars instead of glass jars, for example.
Sue explained that during the early stages of Just Stock, she also looked to pack them in glass jars.
However, the vouchers (wide mouth jars) were rather expensive, which would be a challenge in his goal of making quality broths accessible and affordable.
In addition, glass jars are fragile. As the frozen liquid inside expands, it can crack if not stored properly or if the wrong type of glass jar is used.
“This cracking would mean that some of the broken bone broth in the freezer would be wasted, or the consumer would have to consume all of the bone broth at one time without the possible option of refreezing,” Sue told Vulcan Post .
After months of research, kraft paper jars became his best option. In addition, it serves as a brand element thanks to its look and design.
This packaging did not come without its challenges. After a few lessons learned from the leaks, frozen soups are now packaged with plastic wrap wrapped between the opening and its lid.
It is also packaged in a cooler bag to keep it frozen and follows a strict delivery SOP.
“It all comes down to working closely with the delivery partner and having a strict standard procedure in place, because we want our products to reach our consumers, whether they’re frozen or cold,” Sue explained.
In the short term, she hopes to introduce a wider range of products under Just Stock and even have the products in specialty grocery stores. It also wants to expand its deliveries beyond the Klang Valley to neighboring states.
Conclusion: Due to the product packaging, it could be a race against time when it comes to deliveries, especially if you get past Klang Valley, and more during MCO. Perhaps they could consider putting the broths in a vacuum bag before packing them in its container. This can help prevent leaks even if they melt.
