When you think of the millennial lifestyle, your mind probably turns to all that is digital.

Our favorite radio station? Try Spotify. Favorite TV channel? More like Netflix. Our favorite way to shop? Lazada or Shopee. How do we like to pay today? Electronic wallets.

Of course, the majority of these services require you to pay some amount of money to access them. Along the way, someone came along and invented the smart concept of cashback.

Since then, it has been a common way for financial service providers to reward their clients, but few are quite so in tune with today’s millennial digital lifestyle.

With millennium priorities in mind, Standard Chartered is releasing its new Standard chip credit card, aimed at working professionals earning an annual income of RM36,000.

If you fall into this category, here’s why you should want it.

Now that we’re not so eager to go out jalan-jalan, many of us probably spend our free time browsing e-commerce sites, our fingers itchy shopping.

It’s hard to hold back, but using the standard chip credit card will pay off 30% cash back when spending on merchants in different categories.

Note, however, that your cashback would be capped at RM80 / month for the first 6 months after integration.

If you just want to stay home and have good meals with your family, spending 50 RM or more at food delivery vendors like dahmakan, Domino’s Pizza, foodpanda, etc. will get you 30% off.

By offsetting emissions through the CarbonNeutral ® program, we provide carbon finance to support the development of renewable energy projects such as solar power and wind farms, preserving threatened forests and supporting projects that improve health and household well-being in developing economies.
