George Floyd Family Using His Birthday to Push Voter Registration
George floydHer family plans to celebrate her birthday by taking to the streets of Minnesota and encouraging people to keep pushing for change … by registering them to vote.
George’s birthday is approaching on Wednesday – he would have been 47 – and his brother, Philonise, tells us that the family wants to use their platform to encourage people to go to the polls.
There is still time to register to vote in Minnesota, and the family want to make sure the people of the twin cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul have a say in the next election. We’re told his siblings will be on the move, working with several organizations to register potential voters on the spot.
As we told you for the first time, there is a new George Floyd on the rise in Houston, her hometown, with a special message to the community – “be the change” by voting.
George’s brother tells us the family wants to thank everyone for their support so far, and they’re hoping citizens will vote en masse by November 3 … when the polls are closed.
The family say they are also seeking contributions to the George Floyd Foundation, which can be made by mail … without drama.
Our sincere thanks to
