French Montana says he and his mopstick are set to clean up the rap competition this summer with his “Montega” album – an album that now has certified endorsement from the mayor of New York Eric Adams.
French & fam were out in the Big Apple last night at Less restaurant soaking up the sounds of the new project, which won over listeners with features of Quavo, Rick Ross and deceased collaborator chinx …on a host of longtime producers Harry Fraud‘s beat.
French tells TMZ Hip-Hop he is back in his bag saying, “This album takes me back to my roots and my original sound with Harry. I create my best work with him and always trust him to see the vision.”
He adds, “I think the fans are going to enjoy this one, it’s really going to bring them back.”
Last weekend, French dropped the “Blue Chills” intro video and plans to keep the hype going until the album’s June 24 release date.
Interesting to note: Mayor Adams’ view of new French music is day and night from his reaction to the city drill music. I’m just saying…but for some reason hizzoner rides for the “Montega” of Montana.
