country singer Kata Haya former candidate for “The Voice”, was arrested for having allegedly had sexual contact with the son of her friend… TMZ has learned.
Hay was arrested Tuesday in Sumner County, TN … and according to legal documents obtained by TMZ, the alleged incident began with the 35-year-old singer making sexual comments about a 16-year-old boy in front of his parents. Cops say Hay had been staying with the family for a short time.
Those comments allegedly led to physical contact… with the teenager claiming that Kata had kissed him and forced him to touch her inappropriately on several occasions against his wishes.
The 16-year-old girl’s mother told authorities she confronted Kata and recorded their conversation before ordering her to leave the house. According to the docs, the mother’s recording includes Hay acknowledging the incident happened.
It’s worth noting that Hay appeared to be under the influence during the confrontation, at least according to the mother.
The singer – who made the top 20 on ‘Voice’ in 2016 – was arrested and also being dealt with for a probation violation related to a separate DUI case.
Hay told TMZ, “As you know, an accusation is not a conviction,” and she declined to comment further on the case.
