Former ‘Top Chef’ Contestant Aaron Grissom Dies in Motorcycle Accident
Aaron Grissom – best known for appearing in season 12 of “Top Chef” – died after an apparent motorcycle accident in Washington state.
Grissom died Tuesday after suffering “multiple blunt injuries” in a traffic accident, according to the Pierce County medical examiner … who ruled his death accidental.
According to a friend and former colleague, the wreckage occurred in the Chambers Bay area.
Grissom was one of 16 nominees on “Top Chef: Boston” in 2014, although he wasn’t exactly a fan favorite, and was knocked out pretty early on. When he appeared on the show, he was actually a resident of LA and worked as a chef at the Bow & Truss in North Hollywood.
Prior to that, he appeared on an episode of “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” when the show covered the Dirty Oscar Schedule in Tacoma … where Aaron made a name for himself.
He was reportedly working again as a restaurant chef in the Tacoma area and also cooking for touring singers, including Billie Eilish, before the pandemic brought things to a halt.
