Foodpanda Launches 24/7 On-Demand Delivery Service In S’pore

Food delivery company foodpanda announced today (September 4) that it has launched a 24/7 on-demand delivery service.

Called pandago, the new delivery service is aimed at businesses such as small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

Pandago is open to any business, whether or not it is listed on the foodpanda platform.

On Pandago, businesses pay per use, and there are no integration or transaction fees.

They should first open an account on in order to book runners.

Through the platform, businesses can use real-time tracking features to track delivery and keep their customers informed of the status of the package.

The base rate for delivery charges starts at $ 6, with additional charges calculated based on distance traveled.

Commission charges match demand for 24/7 products

Singapore’s food delivery space is expected to reach S $ 164 million by 2020, an increase of 27.9% from 2017.

With Singapore’s penchant for 24-hour business and vibrant nightlife, it’s no surprise that foodpanda has chosen to launch a 24/7 delivery platform.

However, the base price for the 24/7 on-demand service is significantly higher than what foodpanda charges on its main platform.

On foodpanda, a minimum delivery order of S $ 12 is required, with delivery charges of S $ 0.99 to S $ 2.99 calculated based on distance traveled.

Pandago applies a commission fee of $ 6, with additional shipping charges based on distance. This is a substantial amount, but understandable given that the service is 24 hours and available on the go.

If the costs are pocketed by the delivery men themselves, that would be fair compensation.

Time-sensitive businesses and businesses that sell medical or specialty products can benefit from this service.
