Floyd Mayweather’s Biz Partner Proposes Police Reform to Root Out Racist Cops
One of Floyd MayweatherThe company’s senior associates are so outraged by the recent police shootings that they have drafted a new police reform proposal in hopes of fixing the system.
Brent Johnson is the CEO of One Entertainment – and manages international trade deals for Floyd Mayweather. He also has a law degree.
Johnson wrote a 6 point document titled “American Police Policy Reform Amendment Proposal” which sets out its plan.
AMENDMENT 1 – Zero tolerance for racial prejudice and violence against minorities (plan 5-5-5)
Any officer who has 5 confirmed incidents involving racial prejudice within a 5 year period will be subject to a national ban on employment in law enforcement in any capacity across the country.
AMENDMENT 2 – Racial representation in the police population (70% rule)
In urban areas with a high concentration of African American citizens, there should be at least 1 African American policeman in each patrol car in partner situations.
No white officer can drive alone in the police force of an African American community.
MODIFICATION 3 – Mandatory agent identification
All agents at each stop must identify themselves by first name, last name and badge number in the following format in step 1:
“My name is Officer John Smith of the 1st District, badge number 123.”
AMENDMENT 4 – Registration fee
Agents should remind citizens of their right to record all interactions with each agent and say verbally, “Would you like to record this conversation? Officers must then wait for the citizen to obtain their recording device, FaceTime, or recorded video bundle before continuing with the shutdown.
AMENDMENT 5 – No consequence of refusal to authorize unjustified reform of excavations and excavations
Johnson believes cops should more clearly define a citizen’s right to refuse a vehicle search during a stop.
Instead of saying, “Do you mind if I search your vehicle?” – Johnson has another scenario that he would like the officers to follow.
“You have the right to refuse and there will be no consequence if you refuse, but I would like to search your car based on the following factors …”
AMENDMENT 6 – A telephone call rule extended to road stops
When a person is arrested, that person should be allowed to call a lawyer, family member or other person to witness the arrest and advise him on how to proceed.
Johnson tells TMZ Sports he plans to take his proposal to law enforcement across the country – in the hopes it will help bring real, positive change to the way policing is done. practiced in the United States.
As for Mayweather, Johnson says the boxer has only been supportive.
We are also told that he sent the proposal to James lebron‘camp in hopes the NBA superstar will help him gain ground.
